Founded in 2010,Srujna has generated jobs worth INR 1.6 Million for more than 5000 underprivileged women.

Srujna is a not for profit with the aim of transforming underprivileged women into independent, confident and contributing members of their societies. It does so through its livelihood interventions namely skill training, business training and linking groups to market.

Why Women?

India ranks 115 out of 128 countries in the economic empowerment of women. The women equity is maximised as it is noted that out of every 3 illiterate adults, 2 are women. On the other hand women reinvest 90% of their income in their families, hence Srujna focuses on community development through women empowerment.

What do we do?

Srujna undertakes a structured, community-centred approach towards women empowerment. We begin by identifying the women and their need and then outline a the training intervention.
