This is the line of support from the brand as Falguni & Shane Peacock motivate us to go the extra mile for providing income opportunities to women change-makers.
A big blow of trumpet to Falguni and Shane Peacock and their Peacock Foundation for supporting Srujna women.
Srujna is happy to associate with IQKM!
India’s Karuna Quilt Movement is a movement through which quilts are being distributed to express gratitude for the COVID-19 Warriors and members of the Indian Armed Forces. Srujna has made 67 quilts with the fabric given by the Inner Wheel Club of Mumbai Khar and these were gifted to the invisible hands of traffic police & municipal hospitals.
A beautiful initiative for the silent protectors.
No obstacle is bigger than will power!
Sushila Sawant, living in Vasai, has been working with one of the partnered groups for 10+ years. After completing the 10th exam she was clueless about what to do next? Then she joined one Mahila Bachhat Ghat of Srujna, where she started learning to stitch and now she is working as a master trainer for tailoring.
Talking about her personal life, she recently filed a divorce and two of her brothers lost their jobs in the pandemic lockdown. Sushila is now managing ten members’ families and their needs.
Despite such difficulties she constantly upgrades herself in many skills. She learnt through Srujna’s workshops digital literacy, Spoken English, and Leadership!
What makes her different is her willingness to be unstoppable. While asking her how she manages personal conflict and professional assignment, she simply smiles and replies, “It all depends upon the will power!”
